Bill Schwalm in '65

Former Golden Ram running back Bill Schwalm has been named to the 2012 Inductee Class of the Schuylkill County Football Coaches Association Hall of Fame. Schwalm graduated from Mahanoy Joint (currently Line Mountain) High School where his 1961 squad went 9-0 and won Twin Valley Conference championship. He would later go on to win that same conference championship in 2001 as head coach of Williams Valley High School.

Schwalm graduated from West Chester in 1966 and became a health and physical education teacher. Over 33 years he racked up a total of 159 wins as head football coach at Tri-Valley, Halifax and Williams Valley High Schools. The 2012 Annual Induction Ceremony will be held on Wednesday, November 21st in Schuylkill Haven.
