Event News - Future Golden Rams to Play in PSFCA East/West Game

Two future Golden Rams are expected to play in the Pennsylvania Scholastic Football Coaches Association (PSFCA) 4A-6A East/West All-Star Game on Sunday, May 30 at Landis Field in Harrisburg. Selected to play for the East squad, which will be coached by Joe Henrich of Bethlehem Catholic, are: Kick-off is set for 5:00 pm.

Player News - Matt Marshall a Golden Ram

Matt Marshall (William Penn Charter) has been introduced as one of the latest additions to the Golden Rams. The 5-11, 170lb highly recruited cornerback accumulated a lot of statistics on offense in high school. As a sophomore, he had 47 carries for 269 yards and 15 catches for 258 yards and 1 touchdown. As a junior, he amassed 972 yards and 12 touchdowns on 138 carries and 191 yards and another touchdown on 13 catches for the 6-4 Quakers. Although Penn Charter only played two games in 2020, they did manage to hold off Germatown Academy by a score of 22-21 in the nation's nation's longest, continuous high school football series.

Alumni News - Jarey Elder to Play in Italy

Former Golden Ram safety Jarey Elder is expected to play this season for the Milano Seamen which is a member of the Federazione Italiana di American Football. European football teams have an extremely limited number of roster spots for "imports", and Elder is the Seamen's second import after quarterback Luke Zahradka. Former Kutztown quarterback Collin DiGalbo is expected to play in the same league for the Ancona Dolphins.

Elder was a three-time All-PSAC East selection and two-time All-ECAC choice. After his junior year, he was also named first team CCA All-Super Region 1, first team Don Hansen Football Gazette Super Region One, honorable mention Don Hansen Football Gazette All-American, second team AFCA Division II All-America, and first team D2Football.com All-America. After his senior season, Elder also was named PSAC East Defensive Athlete of the Year, second team Division 2 CCA All-Super Region 1, first team Don Hansen Football Gazette Super Region 1, second team D2Football.com All-American, and a Cliff Harris Award nominee.

Player News - Jayden Williams Welcomed by Golden Rams

Jayden Williams (Allentown Central Catholic) is headed to West Chester. As a junior, the 6-1, 215lb running back had 226 carries for 1,216 yards and eight touchdowns. This past year, he racked up 1,039 rushing yards and twelve touchdowns on just 138 carries in leading the Vikings to the District 11 Class 4A championship. An honors student, Williams also had an offer from Marist.

Player News - Nate Desmond a Golden Ram

Nate Desmond (Ridley) has been introduced as one of the latest additions to the Golden Rams. The 6-4, 240lb linebacker was a three-year starter for the Green Raider defense. On offense, he was set to play tight end as a senior, but was shifted to the offensive line out of necessity. He ended up earning all-league honors on both sides of the ball. Desmond was named Ridley's Mini Max recipient which is awarded based on academics, community service as well as football performance.

Player News - D’Shaun Seals Welcomed to West Chester

D’Shaun Seals (Imhotep Charter) is being welcomed to the Golden Ram football family. At 5-7, 155lb, Seals is a dynamic playmaker on offense as well as special teams. As a sophomore in 2018, he finished with over 1,800 all-purpose yards and accounted for the Panthers' only touchdown in the PIAA Class 4A championship game loss. The following year, Imhotep advanced to the PIAA Class 4A quarterfinals. In that final game, which was lost in the final two minutes, Seals had four carries for 52 yards and a touchdown, four catches for 122 yards and even threw a pass. In August, the Philadelphia Public League suspended all interscholastic athletic competition. Seals also had interest from both Morgan State and William and Mary.

Player News - Jimmy Wright Joins the Golden Rams

Jimmy Wright (Haverford) has announced his commitment to West Chester University. As a junior, the 5-10, 180lb safety notched 82 total tackles and three picks and was also called on to carry the ball on offense. As a senior, Wright rushed 128 times for 797 yards and 11 touchdowns in just six games for the Fords as he garnered first-team all-conference honors on both offense and defense. While he projects to be a defensive back for the Golden Rams, it's clear he knows how to handle the ball when he gets his hands on it.

Player News - John Ebert Inks With West Chester

John Ebert (Marple Newtown) is coming to West Chester to play footbal for the Golden Rams. At 6-3, 240lb, Ebert was a three-year, two-way starter for the Tigers, but excelled from his defensive end position. He spent much of this past year in the opponents' backfield as he registered 11.5 tackles for loss during Marple Newtown' 5-1 season. Ebert selected West Chester over PSAC East rivals Kutztown, Bloomsburg and Shippensburg while he also received interest from Yale and Princeton.

Player News - David Blay Signs With WCU

David Blay (Truman) is officially a Golden Ram. At 6-2, 280lb, Blay played on both sides of the ball for the Tigers, but he was a force on the defensive line. After racking up 79 solo tackles and four tackles for loss as a sophomore, he amassed 185 total tackles and 19 tackles for loss as a junior. Blay looks to play an abbreviated senior campaign as Truman is scheduled to particiapte in the United X League starting in March. He also received interest from Monmouth, Alvernia and Lake Erie.
