Player News - Daquan Robinson Very Committed to WCU

Daquan Robinson (Roman Catholic) has issued a commitment to play football for the Golden Rams. The 5-9, 165lb speedster is a playmaker on the football field as he scored touchdowns passing, rushing and receiving even as a sophomore at Martin Luther King High School. As a junior for the Cahillites, Robinson would regularly appear among the weekly top offensive performers in the Philadelphia Catholic League - three times as a rusher, twice as a passer and once as a receiver. He also received interest from Long Island University, Otterbien and Wilkes.

Player News - Patrick Methlie Coming to West Chester

Patrick Methlie (Salesianum) has tweeted his commitment to the Golden Rams. The 6-3, 280lb offensive lineman also plays basketball and baseball for the Sallies. The team captain, who is also an outstanding student, is no stranger to the big stage as he pitched the 2017 Kennett Square KAU (13- and 14-year-old players) to the Junior League United States Championship in Taylor, MI.

Player News - Mike Rhodes Excited to Join Golden Rams

Mike Rhodes (Ocean City) has tweeted his intention to continue his academic and football career at West Chester. In a pandemic-shortened season, the 6-5, 235lb defensive end registered 32 total tackles, nine tackles for loss and a forced fumble for the Red Raiders which finished with a record of 6-2. In 2019, Ocean City advanced to the New Jersey South Section Group 4 championship game and ended the season with a 9-3 record. Rhodes, an all-star in the classroom as well as on the gridiron, also received interest from FCS William and Mary and Northeast-10 school St. Anselm.

Player News - Caelan Krasley Issues Commitment

Caelan Krasley (Downingtown East) has tweeted his commitment to play football for West Chester. Although the 6-3, 290lb lineman played on both sides of the ball, the team captain was a key component of the Cougars' vaunted running game. He also received interest from FCS schools Campbell and Duquense as well as PSAC opponents Millersville and Clarion.

Player News - Thatcher Miller Tweets Commitment to WCU

Thatcher Miller (Warwick) has issued a commitment to the Golden Rams. The 6-4, 225lb tight end racked up 26 catches for 416 yards and four touchdowns for the Warriors this past season. Warwick captured the Lancaster-Lebanon League Section 2 championship with a 7-0 record. In the game that clinched the section title for the Warriors, Miller made four catches for 151 yards and three scores. The team later advanced to the finals of the District 3 Class 5A playoffs, but their season ended there due to the pandemic. Miller also received interest from FCS schools Maine and Cornell as well as PSAC East rivals Shippensburg, Millersville, and Lock Haven.

Player News - Luke Vereb to Become WCU Student-Athlete

Luke Vereb (Pennsbury) has tweeted his commitment to the Golden Rams. The 6-3, 255lb offensive lineman also served as the long snapper for the Falcons. The high academic performer was the recipient of his team's outstanding lineman award this past season. Vereb selected West Chester over Salisbury and PSAC East rival Millersville.

Alumni News - Ronell Williams, Chicago Bears Prepare for Playoffs

Former Golden Ram linebacker Ronell Williams and the Chicago Bears are entering the NFL playoffs. They're set to take on the New Orleans Saints on Sunday at 4:40 pm.

Williams is in his second season as a defensive quality control coach with the Bears. Prior to moving to the windy city, he served as a defensive analyst at Temple in 2018, a graduate assistant at Temple in 2017 and an assistant coach at Widener University in 2016.

As a linebacker for the Golden Rams, Williams was a three time first team All-PSAC East selection, three time Daktronics All-Super Region 1 choice, and two time Philadelphia Inquirer Academic All-Area pick. He was named All-American by the AFCA Division II Coaches, Associated Press, and D2football.com. Williams graduated from West Chester University in 2014 with his degree in exercise science with a concentration in pre-occupational therapy.

Dan Hicks (North Penn) has issued a commitment to play football for West Chester. The 6-5, 250lb defensive lineman had interest from Division II regional schools Millersville, Lincoln and Fairmont State.
