Team News - Little Movement in National Rankings

Despite the Golden Rams' 48-3 victory over Millersville, West Chester (3-0) only moved up from #20 to #19 in the American Football Coaches Association (AFCA) Division II poll. The only teams from last week's top 20 to lose and fall out were #12 Indianapolis which lost to Drake and #17 Tuskegee which lost to #19 Winston-Salem. Washburn, which defeated Northeastern St, moved up from #22 to #18. Minnesota-Duluth fell from #7 to #13 after losing to #2 Minnesota St-Mankato. In the D2football.com poll, the Golden Rams are now ranked #20, rising from #22 a week ago.

The Golden Rams moved up to 4th in the nation in net punting, however punter Rich Bruno is not listed among the individual leaders since he does not have enough punts to qualify. The high power offense ranks 6th in the country in scoring, averaging better than 50 points per game and 4th in total offense with 583 yards per game. Senior captain Rondell White continues to lead the nation in all-purpose yards with 252 yards per game and is 2nd in the country in rushing with 189 yards per game. Junior quarterback Sean McCartney rose to 3rd in the nation in passing efficiency with a rating of 196.1. The Golden Rams are one of only four teams in the country that have yet to allow a quarterback sack.
