Team News - ECAC Names WCU Team of the Year

For the eighth time in the past 14 years, the Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) has announced that the West Chester University Golden Rams were declared the ECAC Division II Team of the Year. West Chester previously received this honor seven other times, all under current head coach Bill Zwaan, in 2004, 2006, 2007, 2008, 2009, 2013 and 2014.

Syracuse was tabbed the Division I Bowl Subdivision winner while Maine was declared the Division I Championship Subdivision recipient and Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute won the honor in Division III. The ECAC Team of the Year is chosen by the ECAC coaches within their respective division and members of the media.

All Lambert and ECAC Award recipients, along with ECAC major award winners which include ECAC Division II Defensive Player of the Year Tyler Morrissey and ECAC Division II Coach of the Year Bill Zwaan, will be honored its annual Eastern College Football Awards Banquet on Thursday, February 21, 2019 at The Ridge in Danbury, Connecticut.
