Team News - Golden Rams Fall From Rankings

After West Chester's 49-42 loss at Slippery Rock, the Golden Rams fell from the top 25 of the coaches' poll. They remain among teams receiving votes. West Chester (1-1) also fell out of the D2football.com poll.

After just two weeks, the West Chester offense ranks fifth in the nation in scoring with 46.5 points per game, 17th in total offense with 488 yards per game, 13th in passing efficiency, and 17th in third down conversions at 51.7%. The defense is 11th in rushing allowed at 62 yards per game and 39th in total defense at 303.5 yards per game. The team is 14th in time of possession at 35:19 and eighth in turnover margin at +2.

Individual Golden Rams among the nation's leaders include quarterback Paul Dooley who is ninth in passing touchdowns with six, running back Jarel Elder who is fifth in rushing touchdowns with four, and punter Brendan Paulison who is fourth in punting with a 45.0 yards average.

West Chester's next action is Saturday at noon when they host Edinboro (2-0).
