Team News - Golden Rams Climb in AFCA Poll

After defeating Millersville 62-7 on Saturday, the Golden Rams (4-0) moved up one spot to #9 in the most recent coaches' poll. Former #8 Pittsburg St (Kansas) suffered a one point loss to Fort Hays St. and fell out of the top ten. West Chester also moved up one spot to #9 in the D2football.com poll.

Sean McCartney is now seventh in the country in passing efficiency with a 175.1 rating. When Andrew Derr's numbers are also considered, the Golden Ram's team passing efficiency is 179.1 which is good for fifth in the nation. The offense is also fifth in third down conversion rate at 58.9%.

Defensively Andrew Cohen is eighth in the country in sacks with 1.25 sacks per game. The defense is 19th in third down conversion rate at 27.9% and 16th in fourth down conversions at 18.2%.

West Chester's next action is at noon on Saturday when they host Lock Haven (0-4) at Farrell Stadium.
