Player News - Rondell White Harlon Hill Finalist

Senior running back Rondell White has been named one of nine finalists for the Harlon Hill Trophy. The Harlon Hill Trophy is presented to NCAA Division II's College Football Player of the Year.


After Saturday's win over American International, White has 1,715 yards rushing which is fourth in the country and a new single season West Chester record. He has 20 rushing touchdowns which is seventh in the country and a new West Chester single season record. White also has 710 yards and two touchdowns receiving and 257 yards on kick returns this season. His 2,682 all-purpose yards leads the nation and is a West Chester single season record, and his 22 total touchdowns is good for fourth in the country and are tied for the school single season record. This season, White has been named PSAC East Offensive Player of the Week twice (New Haven and Shippensburg), ECAC Offensive Player of the Week thrice (Gannon, Millersville and Shippensburg), and was named All-PSAC East first team at running back.


Regional voting ended November 22 which narrowed the field to two players from each of four regions with the exception of Super Region 3 which had a tie. Those nine players are now placed on the national ballot with voting ending December 7. The three finalists are then invited to the Harlon Hill Trophy Presentation Banquet which is held on December 20 in Florence, AL on the eve of the NCAA Division II Championship Game.

  • RB Franklyn Quiteh - Bloomsburg
  • QB Kevin Rodgers - Henderson State
  • RB Tyler Tonderum - Southwest Minnesota State
  • QB Duston Vaughan - West Texas A&M
  • RB Rondell White - West Chester
  • QB Jon Wolf - Minnesota State - Mankato
