Player News - Monk, Williams Honored by ECAC

For their efforts in West Chester's 38-31 victory over California, sophomore running back Brandon Monk was named ECAC Special Teams Player of the Week and linebacker Ronell Williams was named ECAC Defensive Player of the Week.

Monk had two kickoff returns for a total of 115 yards, including a 97-yarder that he returned for a touchdown. His kick return for touchdown was the first since 1999 for the Golden Rams and provided an immediate answer to California's kickoff return for touchdown on the preceding play. Monk also had nine carries for 37 yards on offense. Williams captures his second consecutive ECAC award. He led the Golden Rams defense with six solo tackles, four assisted tackles for a total of ten tackles in the game. One of those tackles was a crushing ten yard sack on California's first possession of the game.
