Player News - Ryan Johnston to Continue at West Chester

Ryan Johnston (Springfield) has stated his plan to continue his academic and football careers at West Chester University. The 6-4, 220lb team captain had more success as a defensive end for the Cougars, but currently projects to be a tight end for the Golden Rams. Springfield advanced to the District 1 Class 5A semi-finals last season after previously qualifying for the District 1 playoffs in 2022. Johnston also plays for Springfield's lacrosse team that advanced to the state championship game in 2023.
