Teams News - Golden Rams Playoff Bound!!!!

For the second year in a row and fourth time in the past six years, the West Chester Golden Rams will be participating in postseason play when, as the #3 seed, they host New Haven on Saturday at 1:00pm. The NCAA announced the 2018 Division II football playoff field and Super Region 1 shapes up as follows:

1. Notre Dame
2. LIU Post
3. West Chester
4. Kutztown
5. Hillsdale
6. New Haven
7. Slippery Rock

As the top seed, Notre Dame will have a bye and will host the winner of the Hillsdale at Kutztown matchup on Saturday November 24. The winner of West Chester-New Haven will face the winner of Slippery Rock at LIU Post.

West Chester finished the regular season with a perfect 10-0 record and is the only Super Region 1 team that qualified for the postseason in both 2017 and 2018. Last year, West Chester topped Shippensburg in the first round before falling at top seed Indiana.

Golden Ram head coach Bill Zwaan is 3-1 against New Haven including winning their last two matchups in 2013 and 2014.
