Alumni News - John Furlow Passes Away at 88

Former West Chester player, educator and coach John Furlow has passed away. He was 88. Furlow played for the Golden Rams until his graduation in 1955. He was a member of the health and physical education faculty for 30 years at West Chester. After serving as an assistant coach for the Golden Rams, he was head coach from 1972-78. Furlow is a member of the Killinger Hall of Fame, Sturzebecker Foundation Hall of Fame, Pennsylvania Sports Hall of Fame, and the Delaware County Chapter of the Pennsylvania Sports Hall of Fame. He also received the Downtown Athletic Club Champions Award for Collegiate Boxing.
