Alumni News - Breaux Steps Down at Dickinson

Former Golden Ram quarterback Darwin Breaux is stepping down as head football coach of Dickinson College. In his 24 years at the helm, Breaux held a 131-113-1 overall record, but was just 1-9 this past season. His best seasons came in 1994 and 2006 when the Red Devils won the Centennial Conference title outright and qualified for the NCAA Division III playoffs. Dickinson shared conference championships in 1993 and 2004. The team finished the 1994 regular season undefeated and Breaux was named South Region Coach of the Year by the American Football Coaches Association.

The 1977 graduate of West Chester, Breaux led the Golden Rams to a 5-4 record in 1976 under head coach John Furlow. The offense was primarily a running team, and Breaux threw for 499 yards and four touchdowns that season. He will remain the men's golf coach at Dickinson and teach physical education.
