Event News - 2026 PSFCA Large School East/West Game

A pair of future Golden Rams are expected to play in the 2026 Pennsylvania Scholastic Football Coaches Association (PSFCA) Large School East/West All-Star Game on Sunday, May 17 at Cumberland Valley’s Chapman Field in Mechanicsburg.

Selected to play for the East squad, which will be coached by Doug Dahms of Wilson, will be quarterback Cole Ordway of Easton and cornerback Zahaid Edwards-Boone of Pope John Paul II. Kick-off is set for 5:00pm.

Current Golden Rams that have been selected to participate in this annual all-star game include running back Jayden Zandier, wide receiver Rayshawn Scott, offensive lineman Nick Micewski, fullback Mitch Ragni, and linebacker Ryan Shannon.

Alumni News - Ronell Williams Joins Las Vegas Raiders Staff

Former Golden Ram linebacker Ronell Williams has joined the Las Vegas Raiders as their linebackers coach.

Williams had served as an assistant coach with the Philadelphia Eagles since 2023, first as their nickel corners coach and then as assistant linebacker coach. After Christian Parker left the Eagles to become the defensive coordinator with the Dallas Cowboys in late January, Williams reportedly interviewed for a role with the Cowboys.

Prior to his time in Philadelphia, Williams had served as the defensive quality control coach for the Chicago Bears starting in 2019. Prior to moving to the windy city, Williams served as a defensive analyst at Temple in 2018, a graduate assistant at Temple in 2017 and an assistant coach at Widener University in 2016.

As a linebacker for the Golden Rams, Williams was a three time first team All-PSAC East selection, three time Daktronics All-Super Region 1 choice, and two time Philadelphia Inquirer Academic All-Area pick. He was named All-American by the AFCA Division II Coaches, Associated Press, and D2football.com. Williams graduated from West Chester University in 2014 with his degree in exercise science with a concentration in pre-occupational therapy and subsequently earned a graduate degree from Temple in 2018.

Alumni News - Gerald Toney to Retire from WCU

Long time assistant coach Gerald Toney '92 has announced his retirement from West Chester University effective March 20. During his 34 years of coaching the Golden Rams, he served as recruiting coordinator, offensive coordinator, defensive backs coach, special teams coordinator and most recently as associate head coach. As a player for West Chester, he was a standout defensive back who earned All-PSAC East and All-ECAC honors in his senior season. A member of the Killinger Foundation Football Hall of Fame, he is the final remnant of West Chester football prior to Duke Greco becoming head coach in January of 2024.

Alumni News - Nate Pagan Takes Role with Kansas City Chiefs

Former Golden Ram defensive back Nate Pagan '13 has taken an assistant coaching position with the Kansas City Chiefs. Pagan spent the past nine seasons coaching the wide receivers with the Villanova Wildcats. Prior to that, he spent two seasons at SUNY Cortland and then two more years at Stevenson. Pagan was a three-year letterman and member of the Athletic Director Academic Honor Roll at West Chester. He will serve as the Offensive Quality Control Coach for the Chiefs.

Player News - Robert Ford II Transferring to West Chester

Robert Ford II (Monsignor Bonner) is transferring to West Chester University. The Friars captured the PIAA Class 4A state championship in his senior year. The 6-0, 175lb wide receiver spent this past season at King's where he made 15 catches for 165 yards and a touchdown for the Monarchs.

Player News - Teddy Walmsley Signs with the Golden Rams

Teddy Walmsley (Upper Merion) has signed with West Chester University. The 6-1, 215lb linebacker served as a captain for the Vikings this past season and racked up 76 tackles including 18 tackles for loss, five pass breakups, two interceptions and a forced fumble. Walmsley, who chose the Golden Rams over Ursinus, also plays baseball for Upper Merion.

Player News - Brody Mchugh Issues Commitment to WCU

Brody Mchugh (Emmaus) is joining the West Chester football family. At 6-3, 305lbs, McHugh was a standout on both sides of the line. In 2024, Emmaus captured the Eastern Pennsylvania Conference title and qualified for the PIAA Class 6A playoffs. This past season, the Hornets rushed for over 200 yards per game.

Player News - Blake Thomas Transferring to West Chester

Blake Thomas (DePaul Catholic) is transferring to West Chester University. In his senior season with the Spartans, the 6-2, 195lb receiver made 23 catches for 417 yards and five touchdowns as DePaul Catholic captured the NJSIAA Non-Public B championship. He appeared in two games in his three seasons at Maine.



Player News - Christian Velardi Signs with West Chester

Christian Velardi (Bergen Catholic) has signed to play football with the Golden Rams. After the 6-8, 305lb offensive tackle captured the NJSIAA Non-Public A State Championship with the Bergen Catholic Crusaders in 2024, he played last season at The Peddie School. The Peddie Falcons amassed almost 3,000 yards of offense this past year.

Player News - Reese Clark Transferring to West Chester

Reese Clark (St. Joseph's Prep) is transferring to West Chester University. After winning back-to-back PIAA Class 6A state championships with the Hawks, the 6-4, 220lb receiver redshirted at Temple in 2022. In 2023, he made 18 catches for 145 yards and one touchdown with the Owls, before being limited to just three games and one catch in 2024 due to an injury. Last season for the Delaware State Hornets, Clark made ten catches for 125 yards and a touchdown.



Player News - Connor Tuk Transferring to West Chester

Connor Tuk (Kennett) is transferring to play football with the Golden Rams. The 6-4, 325lb offensive lineman was introduced as a member of Army's 2023 recruiting class, then spent 2024 at Garden City Community College and last year with Wagner where he played in four games. After his senior year with the Blue Demons, he participated in the Valor Bowl.

Player News - Mason Beck Signs with West Chester

Mason Beck (Cedar Creek) has signed to continue his education and football career with the Golden Rams. The 6-2, 290lb defensive tackle registered 18 tackles for loss for a Pirates team that captured the NJSIAA Group 3 championship. He also played offensive line for a team that rushed for almost 3,500 yards in 2025. Beck selected West Chester over Football Championship Subdivision Wagner.

Player News - Tanner Coll Joins the Golden Rams

Tanner Coll (Springfield) will continue his academic and football careers at West Chester University. The 5-10, 192lb outside linebacker was named Co-MVP of the Central League after racking up 67 tackles on defense and 1,500 yards and 16 touchdowns on offense. After advancing to the District 1 Class 5A finals in 2024, the Cougars captured the district championship and advanced to the PIAA Class 5A semi-finals this past season. Coll selected West Chester over PSAC East rival Shippensburg and Dickinson.

Player News - Zahaid Edwards-Boone Signs with the Golden Rams

Zahaid Edwards-Boone (Pope John Paul II) has signed with West Chester University. The 6-2, 175lb defensive back also played wide receiver for the Golden Panthers which advanced to the District I Class 4A championship game. Edwards-Boone also plays for the PJPII basketball team.

Player News - Khalil Harden Transferring to West Chester

Khalil Harden (New Hampton School, NH) has signed with West Chester. The 6-0, 185lb cornerback appeared on the Sacred Heart roster in 2023 and spent the past two seasons at Edinboro where he made 34 total tackles and five pass breakups. He previously had offers from Shippensburg, Stony Brook, Seton Hill and Tiffin.

Player News - Domenic Nardini Transferring to West Chester

Domenic Nardini (Chichester) has signed with West Chester. The 6-1, 190lb punter and kicker did not see game action in one season at PSAC East rival Shippensburg. In high school, in addition to wrestling and playing baseball, he was an honored soccer player for the Eagles. After his senior year, he participated in the Delaware County Hero Bowl.

Player News - Josiah Bynum-Smokes Commits to the Golden Rams

Josiah Bynum-Smokes (Chester) has made a commitment to West Chester via social media. Prior to the 2025 season, the 6-6, 347lb offensive lineman had offers from Old Dominion, Temple, and Umass. After qualifying for the District 1 Class 5A playoffs in 2024, the Clippers advanced to the district championship game this past season.

Player News - Kyree Barksdale Picks West Chester

Kyree Barksdale (Atlantic City) has indicated that he will play football for the Golden Rams. The 5-10, 165lb athlete made 35 solo tackles and 13 pass breakups on defense and amassed 700 all purpose yards and eight touchdowns on offene. He was named the Atlantic City Press Player of the Week after rushing for 141 yards and a touchdown and nabbing an interception in a 26-21 win over Millville. The Vikings advanced to the NJSIAA Group 5 quarterfinals this past season. Barksdale chose West Chester over Wagner, Shippensburg, Lincoln, and West Virgina State.

Player News - Tom Maloney Gives Verbal to WCU

Tom Maloney (Lower Moreland) has indicated his intention to play football for the Golden Rams. The 6-0, 170lb athlete played quarterback, wide receiver and defensive back in his career for the Lions. This past season, he scored 16 total touchdowns in eight games and was named his team's MVP. Maloney is likely to play safety for the Golden Rams.

Player News - Julien Jones Coming to West Chester

Julien Jones (Colonia) has issued a commitment to West Chester University. While he made 25 catches for 326 yards and three touchdowns, rushed 22 times for 87 yards and three touchdowns, and even threw a four-yard touchdown pass, Jones' real impact is on defense. The 6'0, 220lb linebacker led all of New Jersey with 104 solo tackles and was third in the state with 162 total tackles. Among his 14 tackles for loss, eight were sacks of the opposing quarterback. In a season-ending loss in the NJSIAA Section 2, Group 4 semi-finals, Jones tallied ten solo tackles and 16 total tackles. As a junior, he made 139 tackles, including three tackles for loss, three forced fumbles and a pick-six. Jones chose West Chester over Wagner, Assumption, and St Anselm.

Player News - Adrien Mosley Transferring to West Chester

Adrien Mosley (Glen Allen, VA) has indicated his intention to join the Golden Rams. The 5'8, 160lb receiver made 32 catches for 532 yards and five touchdowns in three seasons at West Virginia State. After his senior year in high school, he participated in the Big River Rivalry All-Star High School Football Game. Mosley chose West Chester over Southwest Baptist and Bethel.

Player News - Jaleel Williams Makes Commitment to WCU

Jaleel Williams (Oakcrest) has publicized his plan to join the Golden Rams. After a junior season in which he tallied 23 tackles for loss and two pick-sixes, this past season the 6-1, 225lb edge rusher led his team in both sacks with four and forced fumbles with two, and was second on the squad with 62 total tackles. As a running back, he amassed over 1,000 yards and 16 touchdowns over his first three varsity seasons with the Falcons. Williams chose West Chester over Rhode Island and PSAC East rival Shippensburg.
