Player News - Mikhail Johnson Becomes a Golden Ram

Mikhail Johnson (Bonner-Prendergast) is joining the West Chester football family. The 5-9, 175lb running back/defensive back was a standout on both sides of the ball. In his junior year, he rushed for 682 yards and 7 touchdowns on offense and made 71 tackles, 9 pass breakups and 3 interceptions on defense. In his senior season, Johnson made 54 tackes and 10 pass breakups on defense and rushed for 1,322 yards and 29 touchdowns, including four scores to help the Friars capture the PIAA Class 4A championship.

Player News - Jayden Johnson Coming to West Chester

Jayden Johnson (Conestoga Valley) is becoming a Golden Ram. The 6-0, 165lb speedy playmaker needs the ball in his hands. As a junior, he rushed for 1,038 yards and 16 touchdowns, while making 21 catches for 451 yards and eight scores. As a senior, despite missing four games due to an injury, he had 320 yards and five touchdowns rushing and 500 yards and five touchdowns receiving, as the Buckskins advanced to the District 3 Class 5A semi-finals. Johnson, also a champion sprinter, returned three kickoffs 80+ yards for touchdowns over his final two seasons. He selected West Chester over Monmouth and PSAC East rival Shippensburg.

Player News - Ali Barkley to Continue at West Chester

Ali Barkley (Temple/Whitehall) has signed with the Golden Rams. After rushing for 1,000+ yards and 13 touchdowns as a senior for the Zephyrs, the 6-1, 225lb running back spent a year at Cheshire Academy. He then walked on at Temple where he spent two years but did not play. He then transferred to Akron, but did not appear on their roster.

Player News - Kristen McAdams Transferring to West Chester

Kristen McAdams (Monroe/Albany/Imhotep) is transferring to West Chester University. The 6-3, 215lb tight end spent 2021 and 2022 at Albany where he was credited with nine catches for 114 yards and two touchdowns in seven games there. After spending 2023 at Monroe where he made 13 catches for 193 yards and two scores, he was introduced as part of last year's signing class at PSAC East rival Lock Haven although he didn't appear on the Bald Eagles' roster. Listed in PennLive's Fab 50 prospects in 2019, he played in the Pennsylvania Scholastic Football Coaches Association East-West All-Star Class 4A-6A Game after graduating in 2021.

Player News - Rayshawn Scott Remains in Purple and Gold

Rayshawn Scott (Roman Catholic) has signed to play football for West Chester University. The 5-10, 180lb receiver had a breakout season for the Cahillites as he set school, Catholic league and city records for receiving yards in a season in his senior season. He made 74 catches for 1,399 yards and 15 touchdowns. In the class 4A championship game, he hauled in 6 passes for 74 yards and a touchdown, and even threw a 52-yard touchdown pass.

Player News - Khalif Kemp Transferring to West Chester

Khalif Kemp (Lackawanna/Imhotep) is joining the Golden Rams. The 6-5 225lb edge rusher, who had offers from Kansas, Indiana, Tennessee and Akron among others, originally committed to Temple even before his senior year when his Imhotep Panthers advanced to the Class 5A championship game in 2021. He subsequently spent the past few years at Lackawanna where he was a member of the Dean's List.



Player News - Shamilyn Joppy to Continue at West Chester

Shamilyn Joppy (Wayne St/Hudson Valley/Lackawanna/Central Dauphin) has signed with the Golden Rams. After being a two-way standout for the Central Dauphin Rams, Joppy redshirted in 2021 and played sparingly at defensive back in 2022 at Lackawanna. In 2023 he had a solid season at Hudson Valley, making 32 total tackles, snatching five interceptions and making nine pass breakups. The 6-1, 180lb defensive back spent last season at Division II Wayne State where he was credited with eight tackles and a pass breakup in eight games. Joppy also had an offer to play at Mercyhurst.

Player News - Lou Cerone Coming to West Chester

Lou Cerone (Roman Catholic) will remain in purple and gold. The 6-2, 275lb guard anchored an offensive line for the Cahillites that advanced to the PIAA Class 5A championship game.



Player News - Ivan Thorpe Jr. Transferring to West Chester

Ivan Thorpe Jr. (Virginia Military Institute/Springside Chestnut Hill) has signed with the Golden Rams. In two full seasons with the Keydets, the 5-10, 180lb receiver made 59 catches for 443 yards including a touchdown at East Tennessee State. He was also a significant kick returner for VMI. Prior to VMI, he made 40 catches for 559 yards in his final season with the Blue Devils.

Player News - Shamarr Joppy to Continue at West Chester

Shamarr Joppy (Wayne St/Hudson Valley/Lackawanna/Central Dauphin) has signed with the Golden Rams. After being a two-way standout for the Central Dauphin Rams, Joppy redshirted in 2021 and played sparingly at running back in 2022 at Lackawanna. In 2023 he had a breakout season as a linebacker at Hudson Valley, making 82 tackles, including 5.5 tackles for loss, and snatching five interceptions. Player News - Yeator Tappia to WCU

Yeator Tappia (Burlington Township) will continue his football career at West Chester University. The 6-1, 175lb wide receiver nabbed 40 catches for 580 yards and ten touchdowns this past season for the Falcons, which captured the West Jersey Football League Independence Division and finished 8-2. He also runs sprints and relays for the Burlington Township track team. Tappia chose West Chester over PSAC East rival Shippensburg.

Player News - Steve Blaker Joining the Golden Rams

Steve Blaker (Penn Charter) has signed his intent to continue his academic and football careers at West Chester University. The 6-5 260lb offensive lineman made visits in the spring to both Villanova and Bryant. Identified by PA Preps as one of the top returning offensive players, he still received the Inter-Ac Conference Special Recognition Award despite having his season cut short due to an injury.

Player News - Pedro "Slide" Reyes Jr to WCU

Pedro "Slide" Reyes Jr (Absegami) expects to play football for the Golden Rams. The 6-0 185lb athlete previously had mulitple offers from ACC schools and is expected to be at defensive back for West Chester. Providing significant contributions on both sides of the ball throughout his high school career, Reyes was named the Braves' X-Factor.

Player News - Matthew Iuvara Transferring to West Chester

Matthew Iuvara (Monmouth/Haddon Heights) has signed with the Golden Rams. The 6-3 185lb wide receiver only saw action in two games over the past two seasons at Monmouth where he was also ran for the track and field team and was a consistent member of the academic honor roll. In high school, besides being a champion hurdler, Iuvara made 66 catches for 1,152 yards and nine touchdowns as a senior. He was the Garnets 2022 Mini Max recipient which is based on football performance, academics and community service.

Player News - Bryan Anderson Becomes a Golden Ram

Bryan Anderson (Woodbridge) has signed his intent to play football at West Chester University. The 6-0, 170lb athlete did everything for the Barrons as they advanced to the North Jersey 2 Group 4 semifinals. On offense, he had 50 catches for 857 yards and 11 touchdowns while also rushing for 203 yards and a score. Defensively, he made 73 tackles, had five interceptions including two pick-sixes. And he returned punts and kickoffs to the tune of 281 yards. As a result, he was named Big Central Conference Defensive Player of the Year and Middlesex County Player of the Year. Anderson selected the Golden Rams over West Virginia State and Union College.

Player News - Aanjay Feliciano Transferring to West Chester

Aanjay Feliciano (Stetson/Conrad Weiser) is transferring to West Chester University. In his two playing seasons at Stetson, the 6-1, 211lb wide receiver made 49 catches for 595 yards and 7 touchdowns in 18 games. In high school, Feliciano was a two-time Berks Football League Section 2 Receiver of the Year and made 71 catches for 1,248 yards and 15 touchdowns as a senior.

Thomas Capizzi (Manheim Township) is becoming a Golden Ram. This past season, the 6-1 215lb linebacker racked up 47 tackles, including 5.0 tackles for loss, and two interceptions for the Blue Streaks, which advanced to Class 6A playoffs.

Will Silverman (Monmouth/Central Bucks East) is transferring to West Chester University. The 6-1, 190lb wide receiver didn't see game action in his first three years at Monmouth, and saw action in three games this past season. In high school, he had 96 catches for 1,401 yards and 12 touchdowns for the Patriots.

Player News - Blaise Boland Selects West Chester

Blaise Boland (Toms River North) will continue his academic and football careers as a Golden Ram. After making 115 tackles, including 29 tackles for loss, the 6-1 225lb edge rusher was named 2024 Shore Sports Insider Defensive Player of the Year. The Mariners captured the New Jersey Group 5 championship in each of the past two years, going 14-0 in 2024. Boland, who finished his career with 232 tackles, 20 sacks and 60.5 tackles for loss, selected West Chester over Albany, Wagner and Mercyhurst.

Player News - Donovan Jones Transferring to West Chester

Donovan Jones (Lock Haven/East Stroudsburg South) is transferring to West Chester University. In his three years at Lock Haven, the 6-3 305lb offensive lineman played in 27 games, making 21 starts. In high school, he was a captain for a Cavaliers team that captured the District 11 Class 5A championship. Jones, a Dean's List student, selected West Chester over Fairmont St.

Player News - Colin Obser Chooses West Chester

Colin Obser (Point Pleasant Borough) will continue his academic and football careers as a Golden Ram. As a utility player after his junior season, he was selected Shore Conference Colonial Division Defensive Player of the Year. Prior to this past season, the 6-0, 215lb honor student was identified as one of the top linebackers in New Jersey. After tallying 129 tackles this past season for the South Jersey Group 2 champions, he was named the Panthers' Most Valuable Player and Defensive Player of the Year. Obser selected the Golden Rams over WCU opponents Bentley and Kutztown.

Player News - Colin O'Sullivan Transferring to West Chester

Colin O'Sullivan (Rutgers/Upper Dublin) is transferring to West Chester University. The 5-11, 181lb quarterback did not see game action in two seasons at Rutgers. Prior to that, he led the Upper Dublin Cardinals to the District 1 Class 5A playoffs in all three of his years there, capturing the championship in both 2020 and 2022. As a junior, he threw for 1,856 yards and 21 touchdowns and followed that up with 2,946 yards and 36 scores in his senior season. O'Sullivan, also a standout point guard for the Cardinals basketball team, was Upper Dublin's recipient of the Mini Maxwell Award.

Player News - Kyle Williams Commits to the Golden Rams

Kyle Williams (Glassboro) has committed to further his academic and football endeavors at West Chester University. The 6-5 285lb offensive lineman was a member of a Bulldog team that captured the New Jersey Group 1 state championship. He also throws shotput for the Bulldog track and field team. Williams, who selected West Chester over Kutztown and West Virginia State, was Glassboro's 2024 Mini Max recipient which is based on football performance, academics and community service.

Player News - Cole Kozlowski Transferring to West Chester

Cole Kozlowski (Rutgers/LaSalle) has issued his intent to play for the Golden Rams. The 6-3 287lb offensive lineman did not see game action over the past two seasons at Rutgers where he was a preferred walk-on. In high school, he played on both sides of the ball for the Explorers.


Player News - Aidan Oldfield to WCU

Aidan Oldfield (Oakcrest) will continue his academic and football careers as a Golden Ram. The 6-3 255lb defensive end led all of New Jersey with 18 sacks in his junior season and finished his high school career with 45 tackles for loss. The Falcons scored a total of 12 points in their five losses in 2023, getting shut out four times, leading to just a 5-5 record for Oakcrest.

Player News - Zephaniah Bradley Commits to the Golden Rams

Zephaniah Bradley (Atlantic City) has issued his intention to play football at West Chester University. The 6-4 225lb defensive end made 17 tackles this past season, of which seven went for a loss. Offensively, he posed a big short-yardage threat and picked up 177 yards and four touchdowns on 40 carries. Bradley also had interest from Southern Connecticut.

Player News - Dimitri Toman Coming to West Chester

Dimitri Toman (Perkiomen Valley) will be continuing his academic and football careers at West Chester University. The 6-2, 175lb cornerback holds the school record for career pass breakups with 22 and had four interceptions this past season. The Vikings qualified for the District 1 Class 6A playoffs in each of the past two years. Toman, who also participates on the Perk Valley track and field team, selected West Chester over former PSAC West school Mercyhurst.

Joe Anzalone (Garnet Valley) will be continuing his football career at West Chester University. The 6-3, 270lb center also served as the long snapper for the Jaguars which advanced to the District One Class 5A semi-finals. He's also a slugging first baseman for the Garnet Valley baseball team. Anzalone chose West Chester over Lincoln and Albright.

Player News - Jayden Zandier Selects WCU

Jayden Zandier (Exeter) will be continuing his academic and football careers at West Chester University. The 6-2, 185lb running back rushed for 30 touchdowns and over 2,000 yards this past season for the Eagles as they advanced to the District 3 Class 5A championship game. As a junior, he racked up 15 touchdowns and 1,358 yards on the ground. Zandier is also a district qualifier for the Exeter track and field team.

Player News - Peaky Roseborough Picks West Chester

Peaky Roseborough (Atlantic City) has indicated that he will play football for the Golden Rams. The 5-11, 180lb athlete was a standout defensive back as a junior. This past season, he was pressed to play quarterback, a position that he hadn't played since eighth grade. After throwing for 2,109 yards and 24 touchdowns and rushing for 803 yards and an additional seven scores, he was named the Offensive Player of the Year by the Press of Atlantic City. Defensively, he had four interceptions this past season for the Vikings bringing his career total to nine. Roseborough also averages 15 points/game for the Atlantic City basketball team. He chose West Chester over PSAC East rival Kutztown.

Player News - Reilly Hoffacker Coming to West Chester

Reilly Hoffacker (Cedar Creek) has issued a verbal commitment to the Golden Rams. The 6-4, 215lb quarterback spent his junior season at Timber Creek where he was 69 of 131 for 840 yards and 10 touchdowns in nine wins for the Chargers. Despite missing the first four games of the season as a senior at Cedar Creek, Hoffacker was 82 of 183 for 1,506 yards and 16 touchdowns for the Pirates. He chose West Chester over Northeast-10 school St. Anselm.

Player News - Joe Grasso Commits to the Golden Rams

Joe Grasso (Middletown North) has issued his intention to play football at West Chester University. The 6-5 230lb tight end offers a big target to his quarterback. This past season, he made 14 catches for 219 yards and two touchdowns for a Lions team that advanced to the South Jersey, Group 4 semi-finals and finished 8-2. He also played linebacker as a junior before switching to defensive end as a senior, registering 37 tackles and ten tackles for loss. Grasso chose West Chester over Kutztown, Southern Connecticut, and Lock Haven.
