Game Report - West Chester 52 - Lackawanna 0

The Golden Rams (4-3) overwhelmed the visiting Lackawanna Falcons (0-7) by a score of 52-0.

After West Chester received the opening kickoff, quarterback Jack Pellicciotti (8 of 9, 157 yards, 4 TD's) led the Golden Rams on a nine-play, 64-yard drive that ended with an 11-yard leaping Reese Clark (2 catches, 26 yards, 2 TD's) touchdown catch. Lackawanna muffed the ensuing kickoff, which was recovered by Jim Wade and set up WCU with a short field. Three plays later, Pellicciotti connected with Will Silverman (3 catches, 36 yards, 1 TD) for a nine-yard score.
This time, Lackawanna secured the kickoff and ran a couple of offensive plays, but on third-and-five, Peaky Roseborough picked off the Falcon pass and returned it 34 yards for the touchdown. Lackawanna's second possession was a three-and-out, and this time Mayson Talley blocked the Falcon punt.
Three plays later, Pellicciotti connected with Clark for a 15-yard touchdown. And just like that, with four minutes left to play in the first quarter, West Chester scored more points than they had in the entirety of five games this season.
After that, it was just a matter of the defense staying locked in - which they did. Only once did Lackawanaa cross into Golden Ram territory and that was early in the second quarter. Twenty-seven different WCU defenders were credited with tackles, led by linebackers Ricardo Delgado (6 tackles, 1 sack) and Luke Trunell (6 tackles, 0.5 TFL).
Reserve linebacker Colin Obser (5 tackles, 0.5 TFL, 1 QBH, 1 FR) had the best game of his young career, while defensive lineman A.J. Sanders (3 tackles, 1.5 TFL, 1 FF, 1 QBH) filled the stat sheet. Overall, the West Chester defense limited Lackawanna to just nine first downs, 98 yards rushing and a total of 179 yards.
Besides Pellicciotti's efficient passing game, the Golden Ram offense was paced by Isaiah Wright (9 carries, 68 yards), Mic Johnson (6 carris, 48 yards), James Fisher (4 carries, 37 yards, 1 TD) and Future Robertson (9 carries, 36 yards, 1 TD). Kicker Rylan Zuk converted all seven of his PAT attempts and Tommy Pajic was successful on a 25-yard field goal.
