Event News - 2024 Valor Bowl

A future Golden Ram will be participating in the annual Believe and Achieve Valor Bowl to be held at 6:30 pm on Wednesday, May 22 at Downingtown's Walter E. Kottmeyer Stadium. Defensive lineman Jake Kvech of Downingtown West will suit up for Team Allison which will be coached by Dave Gueriera of Malvern Prep.


The Valor Bowl was founded by Scott Allison and former West Chester Golden Ram and Killinger Hall of Fame member Joe Carroll, and serves as Chester County's senior all-star game with proceeds going to benefit the Special Needs Community of the region.

Many West Chester University football players have participated in the Valor Bowl, most recently offensive lineman Dylan Nichols, quarterback and 2022 MVP Cooper Jordan, and running back Dayshawn Jacobs.

Other notable Valor Bowl alumni include 2001 North Offensive MVP Bob Findora who later led the Golden Rams to the 2004 Division II National semi-final and 2010 East Offensive MVP Rondell White who led the Golden Rams to the Division II National semi-final in 2013.

Event News - 2024 PSFCA 4A-6A East/West Game

A pair of future Golden Rams are expected to play in the Pennsylvania Scholastic Football Coaches Association (PSFCA) Big School 2024 East/West All-Star Game on Sunday, May 19 at Cumberland Valley’s Chapman Stadium in Mechanicsburg.

Selected to play for the East squad, which will be coached by John Donnelly of Central Bucks East, will be linebackers Ryan Shannon of Downingtown East and Adam Rodgers of Cheltenham. Kick-off is set for 5:00pm.

Current Golden Rams that have been selected to participate in this annual all-star game include offensive lineman Quinton Derr, wide receiver Seth Degree, wide receiver D'Shaun Seals, tight end Thatcher Miller, offensive lineman Ian Hornberger, defensive lineman Riley Hackett, and linebacker Mitch Ragni.

Event News - 2024 PSFCA 1A-3A East/West Game

A future Golden Ram is expected to play in the Pennsylvania Scholastic Football Coaches Association (PSFCA) 1A-3A East/West All-Star Game on Sunday, May 19 at Cumberland Valley’s Chapman Stadium in Mechanicsburg.

Selected to play for the East squad, which will be coached by Pat Mason of Nativity BVM, will be running back Kendell Cottrell of Bristol. Kick-off is set for noon.

Current Golden Ram offensive lineman Ian Hornberger participated in this all-star game last year.
