Alumni News - Ron Perkins to Midland Sports Hall of Fame

Former Golden Ram running back Ron Perkins '84 will be inducted into the Midland Sports Hall of Fame on Sunday. Perkins was three-sport standout at Midland, playing linebacker for the football team, forward for the state championship basketball team, and several events for the track and field team.

At West Chester, he played running back and currently holds top ten career ranks in rushing yardage with 3,499, all-purpose yards with 4,210, touchdowns with 41, and points scored with 246. Perkins led the team in rushing yardage for four consecutive seasons, from 1979 to 1982, a feat unmatched by any other player in Golden Ram history. He is a member of the West Chester University Killinger Foundation Football Hall of Fame
