Player News - Rondell White Amateur Athlete of the Year

Senior running back Rondell White has received yet another honor. White has been named the Amateur Athlete of the Year by the Philadelphia Sports Writers Association. White was a triple threat for the Golden Rams logging 4,336 yards rushing, 2,221 yards receiving and 1,030 yards in kick and punt returns in his four year career at West Chester. He becomes the second Golden Ram to receive the award. Former standout wide receiver Mike Washington received the award in 2008.

White will receive the award at the Philadelphia Sports Writers Association’s 110th annual sports banquet on January 27 at the Crowne Plaza in Cherry Hill, NJ. Among others also expected to be in attendance are Philadelphia Eagle wide receiver Jason Avant, Philadelphia Phillies manager Ryne Sandberg, and former Philadelphia Flyers player and coach Bill Barber.
