Alumni News - Ronell Williams Joins Las Vegas Raiders Staff

Former Golden Ram linebacker Ronell Williams has joined the Las Vegas Raiders as their linebackers coach.

Williams had served as an assistant coach with the Philadelphia Eagles since 2023, first as their nickel corners coach and then as assistant linebacker coach. After Christian Parker left the Eagles to become the defensive coordinator with the Dallas Cowboys in late January, Williams reportedly interviewed for a role with the Cowboys.

Prior to his time in Philadelphia, Williams had served as the defensive quality control coach for the Chicago Bears starting in 2019. Prior to moving to the windy city, Williams served as a defensive analyst at Temple in 2018, a graduate assistant at Temple in 2017 and an assistant coach at Widener University in 2016.

As a linebacker for the Golden Rams, Williams was a three time first team All-PSAC East selection, three time Daktronics All-Super Region 1 choice, and two time Philadelphia Inquirer Academic All-Area pick. He was named All-American by the AFCA Division II Coaches, Associated Press, and D2football.com. Williams graduated from West Chester University in 2014 with his degree in exercise science with a concentration in pre-occupational therapy and subsequently earned a graduate degree from Temple in 2018.
