Two future Golden Rams will be participating in the 39th Annual City All-Star Game to be held on Saturday May 18 at 7:00 pm at
Northeast High School.
Defensive back
Brandon Spatz of Father Judge and his high school teammate
Vince LoStracco will play for the Non-Public Team. This will be LoStracco's second all-star game of the spring as he played in
Global Bowl Italy last month.
In this game in 2004, future West Chester star receiver Michael Washington had only two catches, but one was a 35-yard touchdown while the other was a 83-yard touchdown. It was a precursor of his Golden Ram career as the AFCA All-American and Harlon Hill finalist went on to catch 215 passes for a PSAC record 4,715 yards and a PSAC record 58 touchdowns in his four year career.
More recently, in 2010, current Golden Ram Will Huff nailed three field goals, Erick Brundidge had three catches for 48 yards and Pete Hurley had a couple of catches including a touchdown. And in 2008, last season's WCU offensive MVP Mike Mattei went 7 of 9 for 148 yards and three touchdowns in garnering offensive MVP honors for the Non-Public Team.
