Player News - Drew O’Connor Issues Commitment to WCU

Drew O’Connor (Downingtown West) will be continuing his academic and football careers at West Chester University. The 6-3, 290lb offensive lineman was a captain for a Whippet team that captured the District 1 class 6A championship and advanced to the the state semi-finals. The honor student selected West Chester over West Virginia State and Ithaca.

Player News - Anthony Delle Donne Jr Becoming a Golden Ram

Anthony Delle Donne (Towson/Calvert Hall, MD) has issued his intent to play for the Golden Rams. The 6-1 285lb defensive lineman spent the past three seasons at Towson, but only saw action in five games between 2023 and 2024. In high school, Delle Donne also participated in rugby and threw the shot put for the Cardinals track and field team. A consistent member of the Academic Honor Roll, Delle Donne had offers from Frostburg St and PSAC foes Shippensburg, Millersville, Seton Hill and Gannon.

Player News - Jim Wade Issues Verbal Commitment

Jim Wade (Central Bucks South) will be continuing his academic and football careers at West Chester University. The 6-0, 200lb linebacker was the Titans defensive MVP in both 2023 when they advanced to the state 6A semi-finals and 2024 when they played in the District 1 6A semi-finals. Wade finished his senior year with 72 tackles including 8.5 tackles for loss. He chose West Chester over PSAC West member Gannon.

Player News - Nasir Robinson Transferring to West Chester

Nasir Robinson (Pace/Penns Grove, NJ) has issued a verbal commitment to the Golden Rams. After an eye-popping high school career, the 5-7 195lb running back initially committed to Navy before eventually enrolling at Wyoming Seminary where he played linebacker for the Blue Knights. Robinson then transferred to Pace where he rushed for 1,561 yards and nine touchdowns in his three seasons with the Setters.

As a sophomore in high school, Robinson rushed for 1,157 yards and 11 touchdowns for a Red Devils team that went undefeated and captured the NJSIAA Group 1 South title. The following year, he amassed 1,618 yards and 29 touchdowns as the team won the Group 1 South title again. In a COVID-shortened senior year, he rushed for 1,295 yards and 13 scores in just nine games. Overall for his high school career, Robinson rushed for over 4,000 yards and 55 touchdowns, making him one of the most prolific backs in South Jersey history.

Player News - Geoffrey Gretta Issues Intent to WCU

Geoffrey Gretta (Pace/Cranford) has issued his intent to play for the Golden Rams. The 6-6 285lb offensive lineman spent the past three seasons at Pace, but only saw action in one game in 2023. In his final high school season, his Cranford Cougars captured the New Jersey North 2 Group 3 championship and finished the season 13-1. A consistent member of the Academic Honor Roll, Gretta had offers from Stonehill, Merrimack, Northern Colorado and a host of Division II schools.



Player News - Gus Ross Transferring to West Chester

Gus Ross (Millersville/Bishop Shanahan) has issued a verbal commitment to the Golden Rams. The 6-0 190lb defensive back spent the past three seasons at PSAC East rival Millersville. In his 19 games played there, he amassed 74 tackles, including 5.5 tackles for loss, three interceptions and ten passes defended. Ross was a member of the 2021 Bishop Shanahan team that captured the Ches-Mont title, the District 1 Class 4A championship, and advanced to the PIAA Class 4A semi-finals.

Player News - Owen Chaffinch Commits to the Golden Rams

Owen Chaffinch (Gannon/Laurel, DE) has issued his intent to play for the Golden Rams. The 6-4 304lb offensive lineman spent this past season on the roster at PSAC foe Gannon, but did not see game action. In high school, his Laurel Bulldogs won the DIAA Class A state championsip in 2021 and 2022. As a team captain on the 2023 squad that advanced to the DIAA Class 2A quarterfinals, Chaffinch was named 2023 Class 2A District 3 Lineman of the Year. After his senior year, he participated in the DFRC Blue-Gold All-Star Football Game.

Player News - Brody Deiter to WCU

Brody Deiter (Rancocas Valley) will continue his football career at West Chester University. The 6-3, 175lb wide receiver holds almost every receiving record for the Red Raiders, after a senior season in which he made 76 catches for 1,337 yards and 18 touchdowns, and was named the Gordon Masters Burlington County Football Club Player of the Year and Baker's Dozen South Jersey Offensive Player of the Year.

Rancocas Valley finished 9-3 and advanced to the South Jersey Group 5 championship game this past season. Deiter finished his high school career with 155 catches for 2,568 yards and 29 scores on offense, and 84 tackles and 2 interceptions, including a pick-six, on defense. After his junior season, he was also considered one of the top punters in South Jersey and hit .383 as an outfielder for the Red Raider baseball team.

Player News - Nick Micewski is Coming to West Chester

Nick Micewski (Central Bucks South) will be continuing his academic and football careers at West Chester University. The 6-3, 265lb versatile offensive lineman brings a winning mentality to the Golden Rams as the Titans advanced to the state 6A semi-finals in 2023 and the District 1 6A semi-finals this past season. The three-year starter selected West Chester over Lincoln, Wheeling and PSAC East rival Bloomsburg while he also had interest from Merrimack and Buffalo.

Player News - Chris Dolan to Continue at West Chester

Chris Dolan (Springfield) has stated his plan to continue his athletic and academic careers at West Chester University. The 6-3, 190lb team captain was primarily a safety, but he was equally effective as a receiver for the Cougars. Dolan has an eye for the end zone, scoring eight touchdowns as a receiver, two on punt returns, and three on interceptions. Springfield finished 12-2 after falling in the District 1 Class 5A championship game last season after advancing to the semi-finals in 2023. Dolan also plays for Springfield's basketball team which advanced to the second round of the Class 6A state playoffs last season.
