Player News - Zwaan, Several Players Named to Regional Team

The West Chester University Golden Rams placed six players on the Don Hansen Football Gazette 2013 NCAA Division II All-Super Region One squad. On offense, captain and senior left guard Trey Farmer was named to the offensive line while captain and senior running back Rondell White was named as the all-purpose player. Also named to the first team on offense was junior center Derek Schatz. Senior tackle Justin Bathurst was named to the third team.

The Golden Ram defense placed two players on the first team - junior linebacker Ronell Williams and junior cornerback Al-Hajj Shabazz.

Head coach Bill Zwaan was named the Super Region One Coach of the Year.

Super Region One consists of schools in the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference, Northeast-10, Mountain East Conference, and the Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association. West Chester's five players on the first team were the most from any one school. Those five players now advance to the national ballot. The Don Hansen Football Gazette 2013 NCAA Division II All-America team will be announced later this month.
