Player News - Williams Named All-American

Sophomore linebacker Ronell Williams has been named to the 2012 American Football Coaches Association Division II All-American team. Williams logged 119 total tackles which was best in the PSAC and 14th best in Division II. He also tallied three interceptions, 7.0 tackles for loss, a pass breakup, a forced fumble and a quarterback hurry.  Williams was previously named first-team All-PSAC East and Daktronics Division II All-Super Region 1.

He is the only sophomore that appears on the AFCA All-American team as the other 25 members are all juniors and seniors. Williams is also one of the three PSAC representatives on the squad. The other two PSAC players are Bloomsburg running back and Harlon Hill finalist Franklyn Quiteh and California safety and NFL draft prospect Rontez Miles.
