Event News - 39th Killinger Foundation Banquet
The 39th Annual Killinger Foundation Football Banquet will be held on Saturday, April 28, 2018 at 5:30 pm at the West Chester University Alumni & Foundation Center, 202 Carter Drive, West Chester, PA. The 2018 Hall of Fame inductees are:
- Eric Swanson '77
- James “Bubba” Bevere '94
- Michael Eckmeyer '04
- Mike Dell '09
- Richard “Dickie” Greenwood '82 - Hall of Distinction
Swanson played guard and was named second team All-PSAC East his senior year while Bevere was a two-time All-PSAC selection at center. Eckmeyer was selected All-PSAC three times at running back and was the 2002 PSAC East Offensive Player of the Year. He is still in the top ten of the West Chester record books rushing yards (3,698), carries (615), yards/attempt (6.0), rushing touchdowns (29), all-purpose yards (4,105), and total touchdowns (31). He also holds the Golden Ram record for most 100-yard rushing games in a season (10) and career (23).
Dell was the 2008 PSAC East Defensive Player of the Year and a three-time All-PSAC East selection at linebacker. He is currently in the top ten in the West Chester record book for career solo tackles (184) and total tackles (277) and logged 4.0 tackles for loss in playoffs against Bloomsburg in 2008. Greenwood is a long-time member and current president of the Golden Ram Football Club.

Alumni News - Ronell Williams Named Defensive Analyst at Temple
Former Golden Ram linebacker Ronell Williams has been named defensive analyst for the Temple Owls. He will be reporting directly to Temple defensive coordinator Andrew Thacker.
As a sophomore for the Golden Rams, Williams was named first team All-PSAC East, first team Daktronics All-Super Region 1, AFCA 2012 Division II Coaches' All-American, Associated Press Little All-American and Philadelphia Inquirer Academic All-Area. After his junior season, he was named first team All-PSAC East, first team Daktronics All-Super Region 1, first team Don Hansen Football Gazette All-Super Region One, honorable mention D2football.com All-American, ECAC Division II Defensive Player of the Year and was a finalist for the Cliff Harris Award. And despite an injury-shortened senior season, Williams was named first team All-PSAC East, second team Daktronics All-Super Region 1, honorable mention Beyond Sports Network All-Super Region 1, Philadelphia Inquirer Academic All-Area, and first team Don Hansen Football Gazette All-Super Region 1.
Since graduating from West Chester University in 2014 with his degree in exercise sciences with a concentration in pre-occupational therapy, he served as an assistant coach at Widener University in 2016 and as a graduate assistant at Temple in 2017.

Player News - Austin Lemke Coming to West Chester
Head coach Bill Zwaan has announced that Austin Lemke (LaSalle) will play for the Golden Rams. The 5-11 215lb linebacker was on Rick O'Brien's top linebackers list for an Explorers team that advanced to the PIAA District 12 Class 6A championship game each of the last three years. Lemke also plays outfield and pitches for the LaSalle baseball team.

Player News - Morrissey and Paulison named All-Americans
Junior linebacker Tyler Morrissey and junior punter Brendan Paulison were named honorable mention All-American by the Don Hansen Football Gazette.
Morrissey (Jr., Springfield) had the third-most tackles ever in a season by a Golden Ram and the most since Lee Woodall in 1993. His 137 stops were most in the nation and his 10.5 tackles per game was second in the conference. He finished the season with 14.0 tackles for loss including 7.0 sacks, five quarterback hurries, two forced fumbles and a pass breakup. Paulison (Jr. Delaware Valley) finished the season with the fourth best punting average (44.1 yards per punt) in all of Division II and tops in the PSAC. He led the conference in punts over 50 yards with 17, dropped 23 punts inside the opponents' 20-yard line, forced 16 fair catches and only four touchbacks. On his 62 punts, opponents averaged just 2.3 yards per return giving West Chester the best net punting average (41.2 yards per punt) in the PSAC. He was named first team ALL-PSAC East, first team CCA All-Super Region 1, first team All-ECAC, first team All Super Region One by the Don Hansen Football Gazette, and second team CCA All-American.

Alumni News - John Furlow Passes Away at 88
Former West Chester player, educator and coach John Furlow has passed away. He was 88.
Furlow played for the Golden Rams until his graduation in 1955. He was a member of the health and physical education faculty for 30 years at West Chester. After serving as an assistant coach for the Golden Rams, he was head coach from 1972-78.
Furlow is a member of the Killinger Hall of Fame, Sturzebecker Foundation Hall of Fame, Pennsylvania Sports Hall of Fame, and the Delaware County Chapter of the Pennsylvania Sports Hall of Fame. He also received the Downtown Athletic Club Champions Award for Collegiate Boxing.
