Team News - 2023 WCU Football Schedule
This season's schedule is a mirror image of 2022, with all the same opponents in all the same order, with merely the venue of each game being swapped. So what does this mean:
The Golden Rams will open the season with two long roads trips - first north to Waltham, MA to face Bentley and then west to take on Slippery Rock.
Last season, West Chester went 2-2 against 2021 playoff teams. The two losses came to Slippery Rock and Shepherd. Both those teams made the playoffs again in 2022 and both appear on the Golden Rams' 2023 schedule.
This will be West Chester's first trip to Slippery Rock since the Golden Rams captured the PSAC championship in 2018. The Rock tends to draw large crowds for night games and kickoff is scheduled at 6:00pm
Bloomsburg will be West Chester's homecoming for the fourth time in the past 20 years. The Golden Rams are 3-1 in those contests with the most recent game being a narrow one-point margin for the purple and gold.
