Alumni News - Ronell Williams Name Defensive Analyst at Georgia Tech

Former Golden Ram linebacker Ronell Williams has been named defensive analyst for the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets. He follows head coach Geoff Collins who recently took the head coaching position at Georgia Tech after holding the same position at Temple for the past two years.

As a sophomore for the Golden Rams, Williams was named first team All-PSAC East, first team Daktronics All-Super Region 1, AFCA 2012 Division II Coaches' All-American, Associated Press Little All-American and Philadelphia Inquirer Academic All-Area. After his junior season, he was named first team All-PSAC East, first team Daktronics All-Super Region 1, first team Don Hansen Football Gazette All-Super Region One, honorable mention D2football.com All-American, ECAC Division II Defensive Player of the Year and was a finalist for the Cliff Harris Award. And despite an injury-shortened senior season, Williams was named first team All-PSAC East, second team Daktronics All-Super Region 1, honorable mention Beyond Sports Network All-Super Region 1, Philadelphia Inquirer Academic All-Area, and first team Don Hansen Football Gazette All-Super Region 1.

Since graduating from West Chester University in 2014 with his degree in exercise sciences with a concentration in pre-occupational therapy, he served as an assistant coach at Widener University in 2016 and as a graduate assistant at Temple in 2017.
