Player News - Zwaan, 16 Golden Rams Named All PSAC East

Sixteen West Chester Golden Rams were named to the 2018 PSAC East first and second teams. Seven members of the offense and seven players from the defense were recognized by the conference's coaches, while two players were tabbed for special teams play. Half of the West Chester players receiving recognition are expected to return next season. In addition, senior linebacker Tyler Morrissey was named PSAC East Defensive Player of the Year for the second consecutive year and head coach Bill Zwaan was named PSAC East Coach of the Year for the fifth time.


Named to the first team defense were senior end Diquan Gilbert, senior tackle Shaq Ryder, senior linebacker Tyler Morrissey, junior safety Jarey Elder, and junior cornerback Shaquille James. Named to the second team defense were senior end Ch'aim Smith and linebacker Nate Barnes.

Named to the first team offense were junior quarterback A.J. Long, senior running back Mark Dukes, graduate student guard Tyler Drob, and junior receiver Lex Rosario. Named to the second team offense were junior guard Frank Tranzilli, senior center Connor Walsh, and sophomore tight end Cody Boozel.

Sophomore kicker Andrew Chegia was named to the first team as kicker while senior Brendan Paulison was named to the second team as punter.
