For his efforts in West Chester's 37-27 win at Shippensburg, senior running back Jarel Elder has been named PSAC East Co-Offensive Athlete of the Week.
Elder rushed for 149 yards and two touchdowns en route to 157 all-purpose yards in the contest. His first touchdown came midway through the second quarter and gave West Chester its first lead of the game at 17-10. Then late in the fourth quarter with the Golden Rams clinging to a three-point lead, Elder disappeared into a pack of Shippensburg defenders only to emerge and streak 65 yards down the field into the end zone to put the game out of reach.
