The Golden Ram Football Club will be meeting on Thursday at 7:45pm at Timothy's in the Parkway Shopping Center in West Chester. The meeting will begin immediately following the Bill Zwaan Football Show which is also held at Timothy's starting at 7:00pm. Golden Ram fans unable to attend the show can listen to it live on WCHE1520AM.COM. The meeting will not be broadcast.
According to the Bill Zwaan Football Show,
senior running back Jarel Elder and
sophomore defensive end Shane Griffin
will be the special guests on Coach Zwaan's show.
In addition, equipment manager Mike Brazill will join the show.
In West Chester's 20-19 setback to Bloomsburg, Elder had 23 carries for 171 yards and three touchdowns. And this came after a 31 carry, 149 yard, two touchdown performance at Shippensburg the prior week which earned him PSAC East Offensive Athlete of the Week honors. Elder is currently fourth in the PSAC with 726 yards rushing and third in the conference in scoring with 12 touchdowns for 72 points. He's first among the PSAC East players in all of those categories.
Meanwhile Griffin registered two tackles and a pass breakup against the Huskies. Thus far this season, Griffin, who also serves as the team's long snapper, has 10 total tackles. At Lock Haven, when the Bald Eagles were inside the West Chester 30-yard on their opening drive of the game, he registered a solo sack which forced Lock Haven into a couple of long passes and a field goal attempt that was blocked and led to a Golden Ram touchdown.
