Team News - Golden Rams at #8 in AFCA

After West Chester's 66-14 win at Cheyney on Saturday, the Golden Rams (9-0) rose two spots to #8 in the American Football Coaches Association (AFCA) Division II poll. #5 Bloomsburg and #8 Washburn lost last week. The eighth ranked team in the AFCA poll has lost the last three weeks in a row. The Golden Rams jumped up to #9 in the D2football.com poll.

The Golden Rams fell to eighth in the nation in net punting and 22nd in kickoff returns with a 23.7 yard average. Offensively, West Chester is fourth in the nation in fewest sacks allowed with 0.56 per game, 17th in the country in total offense with 501 yards per game, 11th in team passing efficiency and 14th in the red zone. The Golden Ram defense now stands at 11th in the country in rushing yielding 94 yards per game and fourth in pass sacks with 3.78 per game.

Rondell White continues to lead the nation in all-purpose yards with 245.0 yards per game and sixth in the country in rushing with 157.2 yards per game. White is also fourth in the nation in scoring with 12.7 points per game. Quarterback Sean McCartney is 11th in the nation in passing efficiency with a rating of 163.9.

The Golden Rams host #16 Bloomsburg this Saturday. Kickoff is set for 1:00 pm.
