Team News - Golden Rams at #17 in AFCA

After West Chester's 31-28 loss to Bloomsburg on Saturday, the Golden Rams (9-1) tumbled nine spots to #17 in the American Football Coaches Association (AFCA) Division II poll. Bloomsburg rose from #16 to #12 as a result of the game. It marks the fourth straight week that the eighth ranked team in the AFCA poll has lost. The Golden Rams slipped to #19 in the D2football.com poll.

The Golden Rams rose to fourth in the nation in net punting with a 39.0 yard average and are 23rd in kickoff returns with a 23.4 yard average. Offensively, West Chester is fifth in the nation in fewest sacks allowed with 0.7 per game, 19th in the country in total offense with 488 yards per game and 11th in the red zone. The Golden Ram defense now stands at 24th in the country in rushing yielding 115.8 yards per game and ninth in pass sacks with 3.5 per game.

Rondell White is second in the nation in all-purpose yards with 238.2 yards per game and sixth in the country in rushing with 150.3 yards per game. White is also seventh in the nation in scoring with 11.4 points per game. Quarterback Sean McCartney is 10th in the nation in passing efficiency with a rating of 168.4. Brandon Monk is seventh in the country in kickoff returns with a 31.1 yard average.

The Golden Rams host Clarion this Saturday. Kickoff is set for noon.
