Team News - No Change for Rams in Coaches' Poll

Although West Chester knocked off a formidable foe in California by a score of 38-31 on Saturday, the Golden Rams (5-0) remain at #17 in the American Football Coaches Association (AFCA) Division II poll. No teams in the top 17 lost. West Chester remains at #19 in the D2football.com poll.

The Golden Rams slipped to fifth in the nation in net punting and the offense fell to 20th in the country in scoring and 15th in total offense with 520 yards per game. After Brandon Monk's kickoff return for touchdown against California, West Chester is ranked sixth and Monk is ranked fifth in the nation in kick returns. With another outstanding performance by the offensive line, West Chester is second in the nation in least sacks allowed. The Golden Ram defense is eighth in rushing defense and tenth in pass sacks. Senior captain Rondell White slipped to third in the nation in all-purpose yards with 238 yards per game, is sixth in the country in rushing with 153 yards per game and second in the nation in scoring with 14.4 points per game. Junior quarterback Sean McCartney continues to be ninth in the nation in passing efficiency with a rating of 173.3.

The Golden Rams celebrate homecoming when they host East Stroudsburg this Saturday at 2:00 pm.
