Team News - Golden Rams Edge Up in National Poll

After West Chester's one point victory over Kutztown on Saturday, West Chester (4-0) moved up from #19 to #17 in the American Football Coaches Association (AFCA) Division II poll. Both #9 Grand Valley St and #10 Carson-Newman lost and dropped below the Golden Rams. In the D2football.com poll, the Golden Rams are now ranked #19, rising from #20 a week ago.

The Golden Rams remain 4th in the nation in net punting, however the offense fell to 18th in the country in scoring and 9th in total offense with 547 yards per game. Senior captain Rondell White continues to lead the nation in all-purpose yards with 253 yards per game, is 6th in the country in rushing with 155 yards per game and 3rd in the nation in scoring with 15 points per game. Junior quarterback Sean McCartney is 9th in the nation in passing efficiency with a rating of 176.6.

The Golden Rams host California this Saturday at noon. The Vulcans were receiving votes in the AFCA poll prior to their 20-7 set back to #7 Indiana this past Saturday.
