Joe DeMaio (Cardinal O'Hara) has signed a letter of intent to play football at West Chester.
The 5-11, 175lb two-way player was #5 on Rick O'Brien's top safeties list. In his senior season, DeMaio hauled in 23 catches for 392 yards and four touchdowns on offense. Last season, he had 13 tackles and an interception in the Lions' loss in the PIAA District 12 AAA semi-finals. DeMaio served as a team captain his senior season and was also his team's recipient of the Mini Maxwell Award.
