Player News - Mattei Honored at All-American Bowl

West Chester quarterback Mike Mattei was named Most Valuable Player of the 17th Annual Metrodome All American Bowl played in Minneapolis, MN. Mattei was one of three Golden Rams selected to play in the day's games; both offensive lineman Erik Pratt and safety John O'Donnell played for the Stars in the second game of the day.

Mattei's top target, wide receiver Smook Thomas of Missouri S&T, was the game's Offensive MVP. Mattei guided the Stars to a 27-6 victory over the Stripes. The game showcases the nation's top players from FCS, Division II, Division III and NAIA schools. Representatives from many professional teams from European, Canadian and Indoor leagues were in attendance.
