Alumni News - Alumnus Coaching in NCAA Playoffs

Former Golden Ram fullback Brian McDermott continues in his first season as running backs coach at Mount Union. After victories in the first two rounds of the NCAA Division III playoffs by scores of 72-14 and 55-13, the top-ranked Raiders host Widener in the quarter-finals on Saturday afternoon. Mount Union has the fifth ranked offense in Division III and their rushing offense ranks #15 in the country averaging 261 yards per game.


Also continuing in the NCAA playoffs is former West Chester defensive coach Brandon Noble. Noble spent 2006-08 and 2010 as linebacker and defensive line coach with the Golden Rams before moving on to the Omaha Nighthawks of the United Football League. Last year, he joined former Nighthawk head coach Joe Moglia at Coastal Carolina. The Chants play in the second round of the NCAA Football Championship Subdivision (FCS) playoffs at Old Dominion on Saturday.
