Former Golden Ram Dan DePalma is putting his two-way skills to work as the New York Giants prepare for the Super Bowl on Sunday evening. At West Chester, DePalma played his sophomore season at cornerback and his junior and seniors years at wide receiver. Currently on the Giants practice squad, he is again being asked to play both positions.

Player News - Eddie Elliott Verbally Commits to the Golden Rams
Eddie Elliott (Bethlehem Freedom) verbally committed to play football for the West Chester Golden Rams. The 5-11, 190lb running back missed most of his senior campaign with a leg injury incurred in a scrimmage, but in his junior season, he averaged 5.6 yards per carry while amassing 901 yards and 13 touchdowns on the ground and hauled in 17 receptions for 291 yards and a touchdown. Elliott did appear in the Patriots first-round playoff game this past season, catching two passes including a 38-yard touchdown.

Player News - Tyler Morrissey Verbally Commits to West Chester
Tyler Morrissey (Springfield-DelCo) verbally committed to play football for the Golden Rams. The 6-3, 245lb linebacker was #53 on the most recent Philadelphia Inquirer's Top 150 list and #9 on Rick O'Brien's 10 best area linebackers list. In his senior season, he registered 137 solo tackles, three interceptions and three forced fumbles for the 8-3 Cougars, whose season ended in the District I AAA playoffs. Morrissey was also his team's recipient of the Mini Maxwell Award. In his junior campaign, he racked up 147 tackles, finishing with double-digit tackles in each of Springfield's 12 games.

Alumni News - Former Lineman Jay Buchanon Dies
Former West Chester offensive lineman Jay Buchanon died on January 18. Buchannon was a two-time All-PSAC East and ECAC Division II All-Star. For his efforts in guiding the Golden Rams to their first NCAA Division II playoff appearance, he was named Associated Press All-American and Don Hansen Football Gazette All-American in 1988.
After graduating with his degree in liberal studies in 1990, Buchanon served as an assisstant coach for the Golden Rams from 1992-2000. He received advanced degrees in management and educational technology and most recently was serving as an adjunct professor and accounting lecturer for Mercer County Community College, Strayer University and Burlington County College.

Player News - Brundidge Dashes for Indoor Track Team
Freshman wide receiver Eric Brundidge made his Golden Ram indoor track debut last night at the Collegeville Classic hosted by Ursinus College. Brundidge, who had 13 catches for 401 yards and three touchdowns on the gridiron this past fall, placed second in the 400-meter race with a time of 49.99, just 8/100 of a second behind the winner.

Player News - White Makes Golden Ram Basketball Debut
Sophomore runninig back Rondell White made his Golden Ram basketball debut last night at Kutztown. White, who racked up 1,411 all-purpose yards and eleven touchdowns on the gridiron this past fall, drained his only attempt, a three pointer, in the Golden Rams' 87-68 loss.
